Hall
Tavern Kitchen {circa 1760} is home to a wonderful Chandelier
made
of tinned sheet iron. The shape of the core
is reminiscent of
a
child's
spinning top.
The reinforced
serpentine candle
arms sweep
outward to
support
candle sockets and drip pans that
protect the
work area
below.
The
late 18th century Chandelier in the the South parlor of the Sheldon-Hawks House
{circa 1743} is made of a turned wooden shaft with six serpentine candle arms
and crimped bobeches. It is the perfect compliment to even the most formal
of settings.
